8 2013Tough Mudder
Carl Sharples is leading by the front on these Fundraising efforts. This year he is attempting to take part in as many challenging events for FAB as possible. This challenge is no different. He is aiming to take part in a 12 mile assault course in London South. Tough Mudder events are hardcore 10-12 mile obstacle courses designed by Special Forces to test your all around strength, stamina, determination, and camaraderie.

22 2013The Wall
The concept is simple: Carl Sharples and his team will run (or walk) from Carlisle Castle to the Gateshead Millennium Bridge over a mixed-terrain route that incorporates both on and off-road sections. You could call this City to City, Coast To Coast or Castle to Castle. That’s up to you. It is called THE WALL, and by the sounds of it for a very good reason and thats not because its Hadrians Wall!! 69 miles* from start to finish. 69 miles in 2 days, or for those that want to rule with endurance – in one continuous journey

14 2013FAB Bike Ride 2013
The annual FAB Bike ride is back!!! 30 riders from across the Military and YHA (and anyone else who fancys a go!), are planning on cycling from our Northern camp to our Southern camp over 6 days. It has been estimated at 482 miles in total, but if the previous years are anything to go by – the navigationally challenged individuals will end up doing a few more! The aim is to travel the distance between YHA Whitby and YHA Coverack. We hope that fellow FABsters will come out and cheer us on at various stages of the route. Anyone interested in taking part this year should contact Karen Tait via the staff contacts page.
