FAB wouldn't be possible without a committee of volunteers who give their spare time and energy to FAB. We have recently had a recruiting spree and filled a number of positions, however, one position remains vacant – the Finance Lead.
Major Karen Tait MBE is a serving Officer with the Royal Army Medical Services (RAMS). Karen has served since May 2004. She has been involved with FAB since 2010 when she like many of our other volunteers and families needed a bit of FAB in her life!
Val has served 25 years as an Officer in the RAF and joined as the COO for FAB in early 2023. She is currently taking time out as a full time student studying Arabic at Shrivenham, soon to transfer out to Oman.
Heather Watson served in the Royal Navy for twenty-two years (2002-2024). In her last role she was a tutor for the Defence Specialist Welfare Worker Course (DSWWC). She first volunteered for FAB in 2010 and has been a proud member of the FAB family ever since.
Lynzy is a member of FAB as a family. Lynzy joined the committee after wanting to give back to the organisation that has assisted her and her son Connor.
Paula has been a member of the Civil Service for 23 years and works in commercial/contracts department. Paula has been involved with FAB since 2011 and has been pivotal in taking on the Camp Lead role.
Heather joined FAB as a family with her boys who have since grown up. She is now an ambassador and committee member.
Doris has been involved with FAB since 2012 and if you don’t laugh with him, you will definitely laugh at him!
