This year on Armistice Day our CEO Major Karen Tait and Fundraising Lead Lynzy Savage will be attending the Remembrance service at Edinburgh Castle. They will be laying a wreath in honour of all our families and remembering their loved ones.
What an incredible few days we had in London at the NFL UK Experience!! We visited some truly amazing places such as Westminster Abbey, Winfield House see the US Ambassador, the Vikings practice and not to mention some wonderful dinners!! All this topped off by attending the Jets v Vikings game at Tottenham Stadium. We have honoured our loved ones and created new memories and friendships we hope will last a lifetime. We cant thank TAPS enough for being such wonderful partners and inviting us along to this event. Thanks to the Vikings and the NFL for supporting the families of the fallen in such a wonderful and meaningful way. And our friends at SSAFA for their help supporting our families over the weekend!
We had an exciting event for some of our families in London with our partners TAPS. We met up at the O2 in London to attend both the Men and Women's USA Basketball showcase games. A great time was had by everybody and our families were presented with limited edition USA Basketball t-shirts! Thanks TAPS and NBA for an amazing time, all of us at FAB had the best time making new friends and memories!
We were lucky enough to work with our partners TAPS and Rangers F.C to create another wonderful experience for our families. We went on exciting day trips to Edinburgh and Stirling Castle and a speed boat tour in Loch Lomond. Our families came together to remember loved ones at the cenotaph in Glasgow and a visit to the City Chambers. We had a wonderful meal at the Blue Sky Lounge the night before attending the match where families from both charities were able to greet the players as they arrived for the game. Another wonderful and meaningful experience bringing families from the UK and US together to honour and remember loved ones.
In November 2022 we attended a wonderful event in Glasgow with our US partners TAPS. Our trip included exciting visits to the US Consulate in Edinburgh, a speedboat tour of Loch Lomond followed by afternoon tea, a tour of Edinburgh Castle. Our families came together at the Cenotaph in Glasgow for a private remembrance service and laid a wreath for loved ones, they were then hosted in the City Chambers. Finally we had a wonderful day with Rangers F.C where children from both charities were team mascots and walked out with the squad for the Remembrance Day match! The families were lucky to have a meet and greet with the team after the match! Thanks to our fabulous partners TAPS and Rangers F.C for an experience where our families can come together to remember and celebrate their loved ones.
