Menin Gate

As part of FAB15 Karen made a trip to Belgium. Major Tait said I'm honoured to be able to read the Exhortation underneath the Menin Gate, Ypres, Belgium, it was a challenge itself. However, to recite the words "They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them" on the same day comments were made about our U.K. forces commitment on Operations it was an even greater challenge and honour.

The Menin Gate a war memorial in Ypres, Belgium, dedicated to the British and Commonwealth soldiers who were killed in the Ypres Salient of World War I and whose graves are unknown.

A truly wonderful challenge to remember the fallen from years gone by, but the years that have followed, on Operations and those who have died having served for and in the Armed Forces.
