Our CEO Major Karen Tait MBE Mount Kenya climb for FAB15

Intro from Major Tait.

15 years ago in February 2009, I attempted this climb with my friend and colleague who was sadly KIA in Afghanistan later that year. Sgt Rob Loughran-Dickson (LD), he and others were on of the reasons I became involved in FAB. So now in his memory and those of our FAB families, I will tackle this and other challenges over the next year.

Major Tait embarked on a 4 day climb and and ascent of Mount Kenya. Her journey began at the Narrow Morrow River Lodge where her journey also began 15 years ago! It took 3 days to reach the summit, with early starts climbing in the dark with freeing temperatures. Wooden hearts with messages for loved ones were left at the summit.
